What Is Key Access Control
Companies use keys and locks to lock up important places or items in order to secure their property. Key access control protects not only the valuables and facilities of the business, but also the lives of employees.
What is key access control?
Key access control is a type of access control system that can be used to keep track of a company’s keys. Unlike ordinary mechanical locks, it has more control over keys. Usually, key access control enables authorization management, so that only authorized employees can enter the corresponding area. Although traditional mechanical locks can do the same, the risk of key duplication cannot be ruled out. To better illustrate what key access control is, take Vanma as an example of an access control system with the following features.
- Flexible authorization to avoid access to critical areas by unrelated personnel
- Audit trail to monitor when employees lock or unlock locks
- One key to unlocking multiple locks to improve work efficiency
- Blacklist, lost keys cannot open any locks
- No wiring required, easy to install or use outdoors
- No keyhole, it can’t be pried open
With the rise of cybercrime, more and more people are worried about the security of high-tech security measures. But this does not mean that mechanical keys are not vulnerable to attacks.
And, most key access controls over $80 use at least 128-bit AES encryption, which is hard to decipher and can protect the lock. Vanma key access control uses 256-bit AES encryption, which is more secure.
Which industries can apply key access control?
