Electronic Power

The power industry involves the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity to consumers. As a critical infrastructure, it plays a vital role in modern society, powering homes, businesses, and industries.

However, the power industry is facing various security challenges.

Uncertainty about lock/unlock time
Difficult to manage large numbers of keys
Higher cost to replace the system
Inclement weather

Vanma's Solution

No keyhole, pickproof
Different roles grant different authorities
Authorized access
Remote authorization

Visual Responsibility Tracing

In order to ensure proper maintenance of electrical facilities, it is necessary for managers to have access to employee maintenance records. Operation logs for lock and unlock can serve as the basis for liability tracking in case of accidents such as equipment loss.

The Vanma locking system includes an audit trail and smart keys that store data. Once the data is uploaded to a computer, managers can review the specific times when locks were opened and unlocked.

Flexible Access Control

In the power industry, there are multiple departments and contractors who require access to different areas at various times. In case of sudden equipment failure, operators may need temporary access privileges.

Managers can remotely set access permissions for operators at substations or other sites using the Vanma management software according to their needs.

Unauthorized Duplication or Loss of Keys

Some employees misplace keys, leading to key loss, while others illegally duplicate keys for convenience, both of which increase the difficulty of key management.

Vanma electronic keys use metal contacts to confirm access, instead of traditional key shapes. As a result, the Vanma Smart Key is non-duplicable.

Lost keys can be added to a blacklist to deny access without needing the lock to be replaced by the administrator.

Inclement Weather

Infrastructure in the power industry is often located outdoors and exposed to extreme weather conditions. Additionally, dust or oxidation of the lock cylinder can cause the lock to become jammed, preventing it from functioning properly.

The Vanma electronic lock has an IP68 protection rating, the highest level of waterproof and dustproof rating. It does not have a traditional keyhole, so there is no risk of dust or snow blocking the keyhole. The electronic key transmits data through infrared sensing technology, so it can still unlock even if the lock surface is wet.

System Composition

Vanma Solution consists of three parts, electronic key, electronic lock and management software. The electronic key is the core of the whole system, which powers the lock when it is unlocked. Vanma locks are passive devices. Access rights are stored in the electronic key. The Vanma management software is the foundation of the entire solution, by managing the software, distributing and revoking access rights, reviewing access records.
