The Challenge
The Mexican public utility meter project is an important initiative to ensure outdoor electrical safety in the local area. With scattered distribution of meter boxes and remote locations in harsh environments, the Vanma smart lock control system has implemented a series of measures to secure the meter boxes and ensure the safety and stability of the electrical supply.
“We need a lock management system to oversee the public utility meters within our jurisdiction in a unified manner, preventing unauthorized tampering and manipulation,” expressed the project leader. Furthermore, due to the dispersed locations of the meter boxes, it is crucial to monitor the maintenance activities carried out by operators to ensure the authenticity and reliability of the information. They require a smart lock solution that can provide them with insights into who unlocked the meter box, and when, and where the operations were performed. They are in search of an intelligent lock product that meets these requirements.
